lyrics

Restless Tyrant

A sonnet you will never read
A feather you will never feel
A somebody you will never meet
A song that I will never hear, a song that I will never hear

And so I call upon the gods, to tally, tally up my odds
I can no longer call the shots
I am sinking out at sea, come all to wittness the decree
this restless tyrant called me

Only a star in mothers eyes
Only a master of my small domain
Writing this to save to file, oh so sorry for myself
I am no longer in denial, I am no longer in denial

And so I call upon the gods, To tally, tally up my odds
I can no longer call the shots
I am sinking out at sea, come all to wittness the decree
this restless tyrant called me

I think id rather lie in bed, hear the beauty in my head
than risk that imperfection
I think id rather lie in bed, hear the beauty in my head
than risk that imperfection, than feel that self rejection

i'd like to sit here frozen
until I reach perfection
until the planets align
and my voice cannot be heard
for the sound of oblivion
i'll look back and see
the chain perfection was for
the chain that it was for me

Forever I will dream
in black in red in white
the orchestra I lead tonight
because of me will never see the light

I call upon the gods, I call upon the gods, I call upon the gods
I call upon the gods, I call upon the gods, I call upon the gods!
